Depresh Blanket (to all the lonely boys)

Reflecting on the epidemic of loneliness, exacerbated by the erosion of communal spaces, the isolating nature of online interactions, and the increasing radicalization of men on the internet, Depresh Blanket was created over nine months, often during low-energy, introspective days. The artwork became a space for processing emotions through the slow, meditative act of crochet.
This work challenges rigid notions of masculinity, proposing a vision that embraces vulnerability and softness as forms of strength. Offering a quiet resistance to patriarchal expectations, it envisions masculinity as tender and nurturing. Dedicated to men, boys, and those who love them, it invites a reimagining of freedom and healing as collective acts, grounded in comfort and connection.
